PE at Horton Mill
At Horton Mill our Physical Education curriculum will enable children to develop the fundamental movement skills, confidence and motivation to lead active, healthy lives. Pupils will build competence in a broad range of physical activities, including games, athletics, dance and outdoor and adventurous activities, while learning how to apply skills such as coordination, balance and teamwork. They will gain an understanding of rules, strategies, and fair play, alongside opportunities to develop leadership, communication, and resilience. The curriculum also fosters an appreciation of the importance of physical activity for physical and mental wellbeing, helping children to make informed choices about healthy lifestyles. Ultimately, it equips children with knowledge, skills and positive attitudes needed to participate in sport and physical activity both independently and collaboratively.
