Summer 2 Newsletter
Welcome to the Summer 2 Newsletter from Horton Mill Community Primary. We hope you and your family are enjoying the warmer weather and that your children are feeling settled and motivated as we move through the final weeks of the school year. Thank you for your continued support and partnership—your involvement makes a real difference to pupils’ learning, confidence and wellbeing.
During this half term, classes will be focusing on a range of curriculum areas through engaging learning activities and practical experiences. Teachers will also be continuing to build on key skills such as reading comprehension, mathematical fluency and independent learning habits. Please encourage your child to practise at home where possible, including regular reading, spellings and short bursts of maths practice, as this will help them consolidate what they have learned.
As we approach the end of the year, we will be sharing important information about upcoming events, assessments and transition arrangements. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child’s progress, please contact the school office or your child’s class teacher in the first instance. We look forward to working together to ensure that every child finishes the year feeling proud, supported and ready for what comes next.
