School Improvement Plan Update

Horton Mill Community Primary is committed to continuous improvement, and this update outlines the progress we are making as part of our School Improvement Plan. We appreciate your continued support and partnership, as working together helps children feel confident, motivated and ready to learn every day.

In recent months, we have focused on strengthening teaching and learning across the school, including clearer expectations for pupils and consistent approaches in lessons. Staff have been reviewing assessment information to better identify gaps in learning and to ensure that support is targeted. This includes additional help where needed, alongside opportunities for pupils to practise key skills and deepen their understanding.

We are also continuing to improve the wider school experience, including behaviour, attendance and pupil wellbeing. Our aim is to create a calm, purposeful environment where children can thrive.
