Safeguarding Newsletter (September 2026)
Welcome to the Safeguarding Newsletter (September 2026) from Horton Mill Community Primary. This month we are focusing on personal safety for primary-aged children and how families can work together to keep learning safe and supportive. Please talk with your child about who they can go to for help, how to recognise trusted adults, and what to do if something feels worrying. Simple routines—such as knowing safe routes, agreeing what information is okay to share online, and practising how to ask for help—can make a real difference.
We also want to remind parents about safeguarding through regular, consistent attendance. Help attendance at school by supporting punctual routines, planning appointments around school hours, and letting us know as early as possible if your child is unwell or facing any barriers to attending. If you have concerns about your child’s wellbeing or safety, please contact the school so we can help. Together, we can strengthen safeguarding, promote positive behaviour, and ensure every child feels safe, included, and ready to learn.
