Literacy: We will be writing explanation texts based on our research and learning about our big question. Using the jabberwocky poem we will develop our inference skills and use this poem as a basis to write our own stories.
Maths: We will be learning about factors, multiples, multiplication and division and prime numbers. We will also be looking at fractions of shapes and quantities and equivalent fractions. In statistics we will learn about how information is organised and interpreted in tables and graphs.
Topic: We will be learning about the Anglo-saxons – who they were, where they came from and how they have influenced our life today.
Science: Our topic this half term is solids, liquids and gases. We will understand how these are different and compare and explain some reversible changes. We will develop our scientific skills when planning investigations
ICT: we will be looking at how information is organised into spreadsheets. We will learn how to input data and how to search spreadsheets to answer questions.
R.E and Pshe and Citizenship: We will discuss different religious texts and learn about how the messages from these texts is similar or unique. In Pshe we will discuss how different situations affect our emotions and who to stay safe within a variety of relationships.
We look forward to seeing all the wonderful learning from the children this half term.
