We have had a very exciting half term. We have been very busy practising our play based on the Ancient Egyptians. We are really proud of the children’s efforts to learn their lines. Their singing is fantastic and they are ready to ‘make a mummy out of ….you!’
In Literacy, we learnt the story of the Egyptian Cinderella. We used this as inspiration during Global week when we learnt about Thailand. The children wrote some amazing stories about how a small boy became the next king of Thailand.
During Global week, the children worked amazingly well in groups to create posters and leaflets based on their research about Thailand. We also enjoyed some of our families coming in to join us to make collaged temples, buddhas, elephants and flags too.
In Science we learnt the names of many bones in the human body. We made moving skeletons and learnt how our skeleton supports and protects our body. We also learnt the names of the major organs and where we will find them inside our bodies.
